To dear all the fitness & bikini models who have recently competed ??????
It took me 2 years and 4 times competing before I even placed in a bikini modelling competition, I never gave up, I never quit! I committed to being the best I could be everyday in everyway and fell in love with the journey to make my bikini dreams come true!
??? Athletes place a lot of pressure on themselves to perform, place or win, and what happens when they don’t achieve the outcome they desire?
I’ve been there before so wanted to share my thoughts ?? Bodybuilding is a very subjective sport & once you step on that stage you have no control of what the judges think or how they are going to judge you, all you can do is control what you can by preparing yourself best, the best you can.
Whatever the outcome you have the power to CHOOSE WHAT YOU FOCUS ON. Each competition is a yard stick to see if you can be better than you ever have before in your life – that should be your goal & motivation – so how can that ever be judged…?
Placing in competitions has very little to do with how you look. It has more to do with who else was there and how you all looked standing next to each other…among other things.
Trophy or no trophy, call out or no call out take the time right now to recognise the person who you have become, the strength you have found, what you have learnt about yourself and who you have inspired on the journey to that stage – rather than sit on the shelf and gather dust that is a trophy that will last a life time!
The real value of setting goals of getting up on stage and competing is not the recognition or reward, it is in the person who you become through finding the discipline, courage and commitment to achieve it.
Congratulations to all the athletes who have recently stepped on stage you should be very proud of what you achieved, fuel that fire and pump up!
